Clay and Chalk
This ASMR type is all about watching and hearing these harder substances be reduced to powder. Below, you'll see breaking, cutting and shaving, plus some water play (did you know chalk fizzes in water? I didn't till I watched these videos, LOL!). One important tip: some people post videos of themselves eating clay and chalk, but since that is neither good for the digestive system nor the teeth, I have not posted any here.
Clay
Clay cutting (deeper, raspy sound)
Clay crushing, mortar-and-pestle style
Playing with soft Daiso clay (used in butter slime recipes, but also good on its own!)
Shaping clay with a drywall rasp on a potter's wheel
Breaking hardened clay/sand mixture
Floral foam + clay (breaking and smooshing sounds)
Handling and breaking thin clay sticks
Pressing and cutting soft clay
Rolling a rolling pin across pieces of clay (crackly crunchy!)
Chalk
Chalk cutting (slightly lighter sound)
Shaving wet chalk (creamy and yet still raspy)
Shaving dry chalk (crumbly and raspy--this is one of my fav videos)
Breaking and shaving a HUGE block of chalk
Shaving wet chalk in stick form (I love how the shavings stick together and look like mermaid scales)
Crushing pieces of soaked chalk (VERY different softer sound)
Chopping dry chalk
Carving wet chalk (this is one of my favorites)
Crunching a layer of chalk in a ceramic container (neat sounds)
Tapping/rubbing chalk sticks together (I like the ringy sound)
Chalk sticks fizzing in water (really neat sound!)
Shaving a block of soft mixed chalk (I think? Not really sure but it sounds amazing)
Crushing a floral foam and chalk "sandwich"
Slicing a "sandwich" of two different types of chalk plus floral foam
Shaving a block of mixed baking soda and chalk |
Crunching small pieces of gym chalk by hand in a bowl |
Shaving a blend of washing powder and gym chalk |
Breaking and clinking school chalk |
Breaking and crumbling gym chalk |
